Here is the latest inside scoop on politics in Hamburg and beyond.

First, Paul Clark and Anthony Orsini made a huge mistake on the petitions for Clark. Supposedly the primary date was listed wrong and all those petitions were thrown out. Word is that on Thursday July 18th, Paul had an army of people out trying to gather enough signatures to protect his endorsement. No word if they got enough signatures as of yet.

Next, my petitions for Judicial candidate are going to be tossed because I put one to many candidates on the petition. It seems that the IP lost quite a few members in the 146th Assembly District since last year and not enough votes were cast in the Gubernatorial Election on the IP line last year to keep the 4 delegates. So as a result the IP fell to 3 delegates and I mistakenly submitted 4 names for the office. This rule makes perfect sense because one petition should not be able to create a primary. It all gets into who gets what signature and it’s complicated so I will accept the blame for that mistake and apologize to those who were rooting for us to win.

Word now is that my opponents in the IP who are upset that I decided to run for Hamburg Town Council are going to try and take my petitions into court to have them disqualified. I have looked them over and I can’t see a viable reason for that to happen but who knows at this point. It just proves my point that there isn’t any democracy remaining in Erie County. Don’t worry, I don’t think their is a real chance in hell of them being disqualified.

The down low from the Democrats in Hamburg is that Jim Sorrentino is going to sue Mark Cuda (Hamburg RP Chairman) and Ray Pawlowski (Hamburg CP Chairman) for allegedly colluding to conspire to arrange a Quit Pro Quoe for endorsements in the Hamburg Town Council race. I think this is funny since Jim lobbied to have Kevin Smardz thrown off the Conservative line and now he is mad that he doesn’t hold the other one. LOL!!

I talked with Vinny Gugliuzza at the Burger Festival and made sure he understood that my efforts have nothing to do with him personally. He was very gracious and understanding.

Finally, the word on the street is that Dennis Koziol has split from his political alliance with Orsini. It seems Dennis is making his move for the Chairmanship of the Independence Party. Go get him Dennis, I’m with you 110%!!!

A lot is going on and as it happens I will try and get it up on the site. Sorry for not posting more but I took a few days off after the petition process was over.
