Kevin Smardz spreading message of hope.

29 08 2007

After launching his campaign in April, Kevin has received support from thousands of people across Hamburg.

On the campaign trail, Kevin said, “I truly consider it an honor to be a candidate that will actually work for the taxpayers of Hamburg. The tremendous approval rating that I have received from people has been encouraging. I have met thousands of people across our town, and they are ready for change. Dick Smith and the career politicians at Town Hall continue to burden you and your family with wasteful tax and spend policies. I truly believe that this is the year to bring fresh, new, private sector experience to Hamburg government.” Read the rest of this entry »

Jason Womer comments on the IP and Orsini!

29 08 2007

Jason Womer | jwomer_2000@yahoo.com

An open letter to Mr. Orsini and Mr. Kozub. And submitted to the Buffalo News for print in the “letters to the Editor”.

A growing concern has been brewing for months now over who should endorse who here in WNY in local politics. One of the biggest concerns is in the Independence Party. Anthony Orsini (alleged self appointed) Chairman of the IP has endorsed Republicans and Democrats over his OWN party time and again. Leaving his own party members behind and without a voice in the IP. Read the rest of this entry »

Hamburg Democrats getting desperate!

23 08 2007

Political ad Hamburg New York

I had to laugh when I actually heard about the Democrats in Hamburg sending out this post card to all the female voters in Hamburg. The Dems actually think that the women in this town are going to get pissed off because the owner of a local gentleman’s club contributed to Tom Best’s campaign.

Word on the street is that the owner of 24K Gold is going to offer 3 splits to every guy who brings one in. So go get em guy’s! Free beer and naked girls, WOO HOO!!! I’m in!!!!

Judge Makowski decision overturned by 4th Appellate Division

22 08 2007

I have just gotten word that the decision by Judge Makowski to toss Paul Clark off the ballot was overturned today. The only reason stated was that the Board of Elections was not served in the lawsuit within 14 days. This is going to the NYS Court of Appeals. The reason it is going up further is because Judge Makowski specifically gave our lawyers permission to serve the Commissioners of the Board of Elections on day 15 because the lawsuit wasn’t signed by a judge until after 5pm and the BOE was closed at that time. The judge told our lawyers not to go to their homes but just wait till the next day.

This was the easy way out for the 4th Appellate Division and everyone expected it to go to the next level regardless of who won there. So onto the NYS Court of Appeals or as commonly known as the Court of Last Chance!

Just a reminder the issue of the IP reorg is still pending and this can toss everyone off the IP line except IP members.

Anthony Orsini continues to fleece the Independence Party, part 2

20 08 2007

orsini

It’s just amazing that Anthony Orsini was never elected Chairman of the Erie County Independence Party but he continues to use the party funds to pay his own bills. He is even bold enough to pay for computers for his buddies out of party funds. When is this going to stop? Read the rest of this entry »
