Hamburg Dems paying kids to do literature drops!

18 08 2007

I was over in the 12th district talking to some Independence Party members today. I noticed a couple kids in an old pickup truck drive from mailbox to mailbox and deliver town Democratic candidates literature. What caught my attention was that one of the kids was sitting on the front hood of the pickup truck as they drove. I swear that the kid on the hood almost fell off a few times. Steven Walters Announces “Governor signs Hamburg code enforcement bill”

Governor signs Hamburg code enforcement bill

Contributed by: Steven Walters

Governor Eliot Spitzer has signed into law the bill that will allow the town to consolidate code enforcement services with the Villages of Blasdell and Hamburg. This was the last major step that needed to occur for this consolidation to take place. The consolidation will provide better services to our residents at a decreased cost. This is definitely a major positive change for the town and will hopefully lead to even more consolidated efforts by the three municipalities.

E-mail to Illuzzi that he refuses to accept and print.

16 08 2007

Joe, I have sat idle as you mock Lou Corrigan, Ricky Donovan, Sandy Rosenswie and myself. No longer will I do that. We have worked endlessly to bring out the truth about the fictitious leadership that is defrauding 22,000 Independence Party members in Erie County. The truth, Joe, is that Judge Marshall gave Lou Corrigan the “absolute authority” to decide the validity of proxies and whether or not a quorum existed at the October 9th 2006 Reorganization Meeting.  Judge takes Clark off Independence line

Paul T. Clark now faces a do-or-die Democratic primary contest against James P. Keane. A judge Wednesday stopped Paul T. Clark’s minor party candidacy, setting up a do-or-die Democratic Party primary with James P. Keane for the Democratic line on the ballot for county executive. Read the rest of this entry »

We win! We Win! We Win!!!!!

15 08 2007

HOLY SHIT!!!!      OH MY GOD!!!!!      WOW!!!!

Who would have thought we would win such a huge victory? I don’t think there was anything else we could have asked for than what the judge handed down today. Even our lawyers were teary eyed when the judge gave his determination. I for one had to leave the court room for several minutes to recompose myself after such a huge victory. My letter to the Editor published in the Hamburg Sun

15 08 2007

Many of you in Hamburg have had people knocking at your doors asking you to sign petitions for one candidate or another. Yep it’s campaign season again. What’s different about this year is that you can actually change your town board if you are unhappy with the way they have represented your interests. Read the rest of this entry »

Tom Best planning a September meet the candidates party!

15 08 2007

I have recently been in contact with Tom Best and he has informed me that he has a Party planned in September for all the residents to come out to Blasdell’s Fireman’s Park and meet the candidates. This party will be free to community and the candidates will be pitching in the money to provide hot dogs, hamburgers and other refreshments.

All the candidates for all offices that cover the Town of Hamburg are expected to attend. This is a bipartisan effort and only Dick Smith has declined to participate. I don’t have the date as of yet but I have been told I will have the official press release in a day or so. I have been informed this is a go and the park has already been reserved.

This is just a heads up.

Judge Makowski ruling delayed.

15 08 2007

Judge Makowski notified all parties Tuesday morning that his decision would be delayed until Wednesday at 9:30am. No reason was given but we expect it was to research all the replies to the last minute case law presented on Monday.

I’ll report Wednesday as soon as the decision is handed down.

Paul Clark’s IP endorsement may be in trouble!

13 08 2007

I just got back from watching the arguments about Paul Clark’s endorsement by the Independence Party. Judge Makowski was on top of the issue all morning and he brought out the best in all the lawyers involved. It is a very complex issue. Because Orsini’s crew made several mistakes on several documents the Judge is trying to weed through case law that only touches bits and pieces of the issue at hand. Paul Clark brings in a pinch hitter!

11 08 2007

I was informed yesterday that Paul Clark has hired a Mr. Sullivan onto his legal team to fight to keep his Independence Party endorsement. Mr. Sullivan is considered a heavy hitter in WNY and he is part of a prominent law firm. I was told the name of the firm but it has slipped my mind. As soon as I can find out again I will post it.
