I have gotten a lot of comments on the IP race in the last day or two. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 30. Each one has their own prediction and the most recent insisted I lost 6 votes in the re-canvass of the two districts. I just called the BOE and was told that their aren’t any results in from Hamburg and it isn’t even known if the machines in Hamburg have been read yet.
So please stop with the BS comments. I know we are all anxious about this but their is no reason to act stupid over it. If we win then great and if we lose then we will congratulate Dick and Vinny and move on with our support for change by helping Kevin Smardz and Tom Best. The thing to remember here people is that the IP has been controlled by the Democratic machine for years. They handed Mary Rose Gaughan the raines to run the IP because she can be controlled by Sorrentino since her husband works for him.
I have been attempting to use the entire Hamburg Elected IP Committee to make the decisions for our party. This scares the Democrats because their is no way they can ensure the endorsements for their own. This is an on going effort and will take many more tries to succeed but I’m confident we will. The key to success is simple. Get the RP in Hamburg to invest some of its members in the IP. That way the Dems have a set number and the RP has a set number and the IP has a controlling difference. I see that happening soon.
My effort this year is to show the Democrats that I have enough free support to take this party away from everyone if they don’t play nice. I think I succeeded in that. The Dems had to pull out every stop to get what they got. It’s my understanding they called every IP member with a government job and threatened their job if they didn’t help defeat me. It’s still to close to call but this is a sign that the Democrats have lost control and next year the committee will be filled with free IP members willing to look at qualifications first and political alliances last.
Then we can have a government for the people, by the people, as the constitution set forth. Stay tuned because this race isn’t over by a long shot regardless of what you read on SUWNY.
