Well it appears it will be official tomorrow. Paul Clark will withdraw from the County Executive race. All this after tons of money spent on lawsuits and political infighting that was created by Anthony Orsini declaring himself IP Chairman illegally. I have written a lot about the whole debacle over the last year but this just takes the cake.
Our party has become the joke of the county and Orsini has shown once and for all just how poor a leader he is. The County Executive should be a friend to the IP. He should be ready and willing to work with all of us who try very hard to make WNY a better place to live. Now we will have a County Executive who has no real ties to the IP for the next four years. Orsini threw that away when he endorsed Paul Clark against the wishes of 90% of the county committee.
Tony if you read this today or tomorrow, I WANT YOUR RESIGNATION NOW!!! Are you really going to make us take you into court before endorsements next year? Are you that inconsiderate of the committee? Do you not care about the Independence Party? GET OUT TONY!! WE DON’T WANT YOU ANY LONGER AND TAKE YOUR FAMILY WITH YOU!!!
I really doubt that it was Orsini’s call.
Ford a gentleman has been defined as someone who never gives pain to anyone unintentionally. This leaves plenty of leeway for deliberate rudeness toward someone you can’t stand. Stand up to a bully; speak out against a fraud; fight off a rival for a prize. Care enough about something to make someone mad. An enemy helps you define yourself. As Schopenhauer said, “We can come to look upon the deaths of our enemies with as much regret as we feel for those of our friends, namely, when we miss their existence as witnesses to our success.” In other words Ford you are defined by your enemy Orsini.
