I have to laugh at some of the really stupid replies I have gotten on the article about Kathy Hochul and the driver license issue. (please refer to the former article) If any of you really believe she is in disagreement with Spitzer on this issue then you haven’t been listening to this campaign issue very long. Their is absolutely no way she will every side against Spitzer here. Remember her track record.
Well before she ever became County Clerk she was holding very large and successful fundraisers for Spitzer at her home. She and her hubby raised thousands of dollars for Spitzer to spend on his campaign last year. Then she humbly accepted the appointment to County Clerk after all that money helped Spitzer get elected. Remember, she initially told the Buffalo news that she would support Spitzer on this. Then the big flip flop.
If Bill O’lauglin hadn’t made a TV ad saying he would go to jail to prevent illegals getting the drivers license then we all know she would be as quiet as a church mouse right now. Well I guess with Hochul it’s not about what is right for the county but rather what is politically correct. At least Bill O’laughlin is sticking by his guns.
Hammer that point home Bill and you will be fine. You have Kathy dancing like a chicken on a hot plate and I can’t wait till Thursday evening to watch her dance some more!
If the aliens are illegal. Why not arrest them when they apply for a license. I think the idea is brilliant.
Because they are immediately released. They are given an appearance ticket and 99% of them never show up to court because they know they will be deported. They just move to another part of the state or country. Arresting illegal aliens/immigrants is really a farce. Just remember this agenda is from the same party that wants to give convicted/imprisoned criminals the right to vote.
Ford can you find out if this is true? You seem to know alot of the answers. Is it true the Hamburg police officers do not drive to work? Is it true they are picked up for their shifts?
I can tell you that some of them do get picked up at home. i have seen it several times over the last few years. I have been out doing the politics and have been at officers homes when they told me they are on the way to work and a patrol car comes and picks them up. I can’t say whether or not every officer on the police force does this.
Why are you concerned about how they change shifts? The town is covered as a car is always in service.
Why should they begetting picked up for work?

It is not too brilliant to think that after a couple of illegals get arrested when applying for the driver’s license that the others will continue to come in to the clerk’s office to get caught !
It keeps them on the street.
