Constitutional Crisis knocking on our doors!

A couple years ago I attended a meeting by a gentleman named Bob Schultz from a political organization called “We the People Foundation”.  This group was formed as a catalyst for the average Joe to address the government in a non-violent manner and actually get some results. Bob has since grown this organization to be one of the most “government feared” groups in the nation. Why are they scared of WTP? Because WTP is willing to take any worthwhile issue all the way to the US Supreme Court if necessary.

In fact, WTP has been in front of every Federal Court Level including the US Supreme Court protecting your liberties for more than a dozen years. Now WTP is in the fight of “OUR” lives. What has happened is unbelievable and it’s time I write about it so you all understand just how important this issue is and just how close our country is to effectively burning the US Constitution.

This fight began years ago in NYS. In fact it could easily happen right here in Erie County tomorrow if our elected representatives want to disregard your rights like they did in Albany. This is what happened. Several years ago the County Executive in Bob Schultz’s county decided to raise the property tax for his county. Sound familiar? He was supposed to get a majority decision from the County Legislature before the tax went into effect but instead he raised the taxes and collected them without the County Legislature ever taking a vote on the increase.

Of course this is completely illegal and to this day their has never been that all important vote. Why? Probably because the Legislators knew they would get kicked out of office if they raised taxes again. So Bob Schultz filed a lawsuit against the county for violating the NYS Constitution and asked the County to respond with an explanation as to why they broke the law. When no reply came Bob Schultz organized wealthy business leaders to withhold their property tax money until they received an adequate response from the county.

Bob filed the lawsuit with the Federal Government using the last 10 words of the first amendment to the US Constitution as his legal argument. The first amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. The part Bob is interested in was that the people have the right petition the government for a redress of grievances if they believe the government acted improperly. Bob also has made the argument that the only peaceful recourse the people have to force the government to respond is to withhold their tax money until the government responds.

Well, with a predictable response the government seized the properties of those withholding their taxes and they refused to respond to any of the grievances filed by WTP. So when this lawsuit finally made it into court, after years of purposeful delays by the government, a Federal Judge ordered the county to respond to the lawsuit. You would think this ended the problem right? Wrong! The response that the government gave was that even though the US Constitution says that the people have the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances, the government has no responsibility or requirement to respond to the petition!

That’s right people, the county argued that they don’t have to answer any grievances ever placed in front of them by the public. What’s even more disturbing is that one Federal Court after another upheld the counties position. The Federal Courts and Federal Appeals Courts all have flat out said that no government, local State or Federal, is required to respond to any grievance filed by citizens of the United States of America.

So the next step was the US Supreme Court. Only the problem there is the Supreme Court isn’t required to hear all requests put before them. So the first time the issue was placed in front of the court they refused to hear the case based on the fact that their was a second lawsuit filed by WTP, basically on the same issue, and they would wait until that one reached the Supreme Court, then hear them both if necessary. Well both lawsuits were placed before the Supreme Court with the request to here them in November and the Supreme Court has refused once again to listen to arguments on the issue.

That means that if this case doesn’t get in front of the US Supreme Court the lower Federal Appellate Court decision stands. That decision flat out states that the government never has to respond to grievances filed against them. Do you understand what that really means? It means that the government ceases to exist as we know it. It means they can break any law they want and no-one can ever sue them for resolution.

This decision means that if you speak out against the government they can jail you, they can seize your property, torture you and basically do anything they want without fear of any legal action….. EVER!!!

People, I don’t advocate violence but this is most certainly the first step towards a future civil war, if the government actually quits listening to the people and breaking the laws the Constitution protects us against, I just don’t see how the people of the US could ever tolerate such a blatant attack on our Constitution. This is just so upsetting because if any of you have followed what has happened in our country the last 10 years you know:

1.) The government has done everything possible to remove guns from citizens. The Government knows that if they want to remove democracy they must first disarm the populace. Only then can a coup-de-gras ever take place.

2.) They have systematically changed the money standard and shifted the wealth of our citizens from the average Joe to the filthy rich. This leaves our average citizen with the reality of going along with the government to feed themselves or face the circumstance of losing your job and effectively becoming homeless. This change in wealth has been very effective in preventing citizens from saving for their future and making them reliant on the government for the welfare of their family and their future.

3.) The Government has already begun programs designed to monitor your liberty. They want to incorporate driver licenses with trackable radio devices that can be used to locate you anywhere in the country on a moments notice. This is the first step in restricting your freedom of movement and eliminating your anonymity. They are effectively trying to ID tag everyone. 

4.) The Government has initiated a program of fear mongering by effectively keeping the populace in a state of fear from an attack by terrorists even though they know the chance of this is very low and the chance of attack no higher than it ever was. They use the excuse of losing your liberties to be safe and secure. This is a flat out attack on the constitution. 

All you have to do is open your eyes to what is really going on in our country. This lawsuit and the refusal by the US Supreme Court to hear this argument is a significant progression by your government to stop liberty and destroy democracy. The only reason the US Supreme Court would refuse to hear this is because they agree with the lower courts decision and they don’t want to advertise the issue. It’s much easier to destroy liberty one small step at a time without full pubic scrutiny. If the US Supreme Court was to actually hear this issue then every media outlet, law firm, activist group and citizen would learn of just how broad the lower courts decision effects our freedom.
