I picked up petition packets for 2 candidates who will be challenging for 2 spots on the Frontier School Board this year. Although I will not name these candidates just yet, I am very confident in their ability to lead and both are sick of tax increases and capital improvement projects that suck the life out of our residents.
Last year we were lied to by the School Board and their returning candidates. We were told that the 11 million dollars needed for the capital improvement projects were being funded by the state and any addition funds were already in the bank so no tax increase was needed. I contended, and still do, that when ever a school district wants a capital improvement project then their will be money freed up in the near future and the school board doesn’t want to give it back to you in a tax decrease. As soon as the school board election was over last year, the board bonded out for almost half the 11 million buck they promised wouldn’t cost us a penny. Now they are at it again, only they want double this year.
They want 22 million bucks so they can build a huge sporting complex for the students who play sports. To hell with the fact that the district has slipped completely off the radar in academics, lets just spend our extra money on sports. After all that’s the only thing the district ranks at the top in. So to hell with reading and writing, lets have our kids go learn how to kick a ball!
Folks if we turn down this capital improvement project the district will be forced to give us a tax decrease in the neighborhood of 20-25%. Wouldn’t that be cool!

Do they have school age kids in the district? Your son plays sports, how do you think he’d feel about it?
Names please. Make that public and the Hamburg Sun News and the Buffalo News will report on it.
