Here We Go Again!

I have to laugh at all the BS that is continuously spewed by the Frontier School Board and their representatives. If I didn’t laugh at it, I would absolutely go nuts with anger. It is so wrong that these people leave out information that could cause residents to vote down a proposed agenda or tax increase. If you read recent stories in the Hamburg Sun News or the Buffalo News you think that this School Board is actually trying to cut costs and keep tax increases to a minimum, but what is actually happening is completely the opposite.

These clowns actually want 22 million bucks to build an extravagant sporting complex. Our kids are falling further and further down the scales for academic achievement and they want to sink cash into sports! WOW!! Don’t you all get it? It’s a distraction from their own incompetence at administering the kids education…. Hey… Lets build a sports complex so 15 – 20 talented athletic kids can distract the majority of the school district from just how stupid their kids really are. God almighty, am I the only one here that actually realizes that the Frontier School District is taxing us more and more with no great academic results to show for it? Don’t believe me? Then just search the Buffalo Business First Magazine archives for last years school rankings and see that Frontier H.S. didn’t even make the list when compared to every high school in Western New York. That says a lot.

Anyway I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. When ever a school district wants a huge capital improvement project in the tens of millions of dollars it means that they have a lot of money about to be freed up in the next year or two and they need to spend it before the law makes them give it back to you in a tax decrease. They are claiming that this year will only be a 1.7% increase but what do you think it would be if they had to give back 22 million bucks?

I think it would result in a tax decrease of 15% or so. Imagine that. Your taxes going down a few hundred bucks next year. All you have to do is vote no to the proposed budget and vote no to the proposed capital improvement projects.

Just some FYI for all you non-believers out there. Last year I was ridiculed for saying similar things about the budget and the process, the School Board and its incumbent candidates told everyone that they had all the money already in hand and what money they didn’t have would be covered by state grants. Then a month after the election was held and their people were re-elected, they bonded out half the money they said they already had! Who do you think is paying for that bond? It sure as hell isn’t getting paid off from the existing money in their previous budget! It’s coming from future tax increases that you get to pay for! THEY LIED TO YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!  WAKE UP!!!!

Ford what happend to the below story????

For the record

I did stay for dinner. Orsini did not run the meeting. Mary Rose Gaughan did. She took checks. Tony never touched them. I don’t understand who gave Bob McCarhy the story but he sure didn’t follow up on it. What I want to know is when did Gaughn call the Judicial candidates and exactly what did she say. Did Tony know about the solicitation and if so when? What right did Gaughan have to solicit contributions. Who negotiated the checks ? Who paid the bill? I understand Clarke being po’d – she didn’t get endorsed.

For the record I removed the two Hochul stories because I was getting sick of deleting 2 dozen shitty comments every day. It seems the Democrats have no sense of humor. It’s OK for them to harass me and other IP members with outrageous mailings but if I write something that hits them just as hard they cry until the cows come home and then into the next day. I may just have to write another article about how Hochul will get the Dem endorsement this year. It seems our new Governor likes infidelity. Do you think Hochul can accommodate him?

So, did you pull down the post because you were sick of comments, or because the Town Supervisor and his allies asked you too?

My guess is the latter is mroe likely than the former.

Walters would never tell me to take anything down. I decided to do it my self and if Walters ever did tell me that I would lose some respect for him. He believes in freedom of speech just like I do.

HS Parent Almost Again

Look, DiCarly was bigtime in sports not too many jobs ago. His predecessor got money for night lighting for the football field by way of exclusive deals with a soft drink vendor. They have agreed to put the fieldhouse up as a separate item on the budget referendum. I seriously doubt it will pass. As a parent of one FHS graduate and another about to go there I’m more worried about the pitiful library. The sports facilities are also pitiful, and so is auditorium / performance space. The school has been under-invested for years as the budgets have barely passed most years. I’m sometimes embarrassed by the superiority of school facilities in even the most rural and theoretically less affluent districts near us.
FHS needs investment in its schools – and yes I pay a healthy tax bill for those schools just like you. Frankly I question the number of highly compensated administrative positions in the district first. Those people should have to demonstrate their value to education achievement, routinely. There are a lot of dollars to be saved there …
