Ice Arena put on the fast track!

I have just received word that the Hamburg Town Council is putting the Jeff Walker proposal on the fast track. The Hamburg Recreation Department Citizens Advisory Board has been asked to attend an emergency meeting set for April 3, 2008 at 5:30pm, where we will be given the full information on the deal. I have been asking for the exact figures from Marty Deneke and Jim Connolly for several months but haven’t been given anything.

Bikers skid out in Hamburg!

I attended the Hamburg Town Board meeting on Monday night. It was pretty much uneventful until public comment opened up, then all hell broke loose. The ruckus was about the Hamburg Bike Path that is being nixed by the conservative members of the Hamburg Town Council. It all started when Hamburg Taxpayers Association Chairman Joe Killian stood up and begged for the Town Council to approve the project.
