Hamburg IP is Finally Constituted!

This past weekend Anthony Orsini has officially named me as Chairman of the Town of Hamburg Independence Party. It has been a long three years getting to this point but was well worth the effort. Orsini had name Mary Rose Gaughan Chairwomen of a town search and selection committee in May of 07 but since then decided that she was not the person he would like to see lead the town party in the future. I have had some major differences with Orsini over the years but it seems he has finally seen the light as far as Hamburg goes.

This year will be a crucial committee race for control of the Hamburg IP. Once again the Democrats led by Jim Sorrentino’s best friend Tony Mingarelli have flooded the Hamburg IP with Democratic switch overs to try and control us. We are fighting this at the grass roots level and I believe we will be successful. What they have done amounts to an election law violation that is a class e felony. The law specifically has statutes against party raiding and that is what the Dems have done this year.

It’s my understanding that numerous people are now on-board with protecting the Hamburg IP from the Democratic takeover and we will show just how strong we are at the polls in September. Dennis Koziol and Mary Gaughan are counting on the fact that they can slide people into south-towns committee slots without opposition and that will not happen this time out.

This will be a fight till the end but I believe we will prevail and the Hamburg IP will be free at last!
