BTVFC 2006 Tax Breakdown

I’m not an accountant but the following Sheet is apparently the main breakdown of the budget that the Big Tree Volunteer Fire company sent to the IRS in 2006. A little birdie sent it to me. It shows that they had a budget of just over $421,000 and they charged $197K for depreciation of equipment/property and then charged themselves $92K to occupy the two buildings they own. Public about to learn how the BTVFD spends your tax dollars!

I have written a letter to Dan Myres at the Hamburg Sun News and I have also used a variation of this letter to pass out in a literature drop this weekend throughout the fire district for the Big Tree Fire Department. It’s about time the public becomes aware of the misuses of our tax dollars by this department and the huge problems that come with no financial oversight. I hope you like the letter. Business First Magazine Ranks Frontier H.S. at the Bottom of the List!

It’s official folks! Frontier High School has slipped all the way to 46th place by Buffalo Business First magazine. In fact, I think only 2 other Erie County Schools ranked lower. Orchard Park HS ranked 14th and Hamburg HS ranked 30th. Read the rest of this entry »
