Square Dance on Ice at Immaculata Academy!

That is exactly what it felt like tonight at the informational meeting conducted by Leaping Sports Management and Supervisor Walters on the proposed new ice facility. Jeff Walker gave almost the  exact same power point presentation as the last meeting with just a few more details. This time he gave out some of the projected user fees for ice time and field time. Other than that it was nothing more than a dance around the major issue of finance.

Pieces of Ice Rink Deal Revealed!

Hamburg First has learned some small tid bits of the proposal for the new Hamburg Ice Facility coming up for a referendum next month. Tomorrow evening the full deal will be revealed at the Immaculata Academy Auditorium on South Park Avenue.

Are you mad as hell? Are you gonna take it any more? Let me know! Rumors are that the Big Tree Fire Company officials have voted to start the process of building their new fire hall. I’m being told that estimates are for a 3-4 million dollar fire hall that the people of their district will ultimately pay for in tax increases if the Town Council doesn’t nix this before it begins.  

 

 

Orsini, Koziol, Mingarelli Lose in Court Again!

 NYS Supreme Court Justice Paula Fereletto has handed yet another victory to Erie County Independence Party Chairperson Sandy Rosenswie. Justice Fereletto has ruled that only Chairperson Rosenswie has the right to choose a new Lackawanna IP Chairman.  A group headed by Dennis Koziol had tried to vote in Anthony Mingarelli. But, the judge said that wasn’t legal because only the duly elected chairperson can make such appointments, according to the party’s bylaws.

Erie County Independence Party Installation/Fundraiser set for April 9th

The installation of Erie County Independence Party Chairperson Sandy Rosenswie and other officers of the Erie County Independence Party will take place, Thursday, April 9, from 6-8 pm at Kronie’s Bar and Grill, 2692 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo. The charge is $50 per person and includes food and drinks. Checks can be sent to: Erie County Independence Party, PO Box 1131, Buffalo, NY 14225. 

Ice Arena Proposal Hearing Dates Set

The Hamburg Town Council  has set the dates for the public to be informed on the specifics of the proposed new ice arena. Lots of speculation has been flying around about who is going to pay for this facility and what happens if the project fails before it’s paid off.

When Will The Lunacy Stop?

Their is absolutely no way to prove Andrea Glinski was driving drunk when she ran down two young woman a couple weeks ago and hid the car in Hamburg. But this one smells like it was drinking and driving to me.

Hey, if you want a drink..Get one and let someone else who is sober drive you home! What is so hard about that? Or at least drink yourself into a stupor at home to begin with. This is absolutely nuts if you ask me! First Duffy, then this incident and who is next? Who is the next victim of some drunken idiot that didn’t have the common sense to not drink and drive?

Why in the world didn’t her boyfreind call it in? Now he is probably going to face charges as well. Someone please stop the lunacy.

Dennis Gaughan caught with his hand in the till!

It has been a little secret known only by a few in the Town and Village Governments. Rumors spread about  the fact that Dennis Gaughan had been letting the Village of Blasdell pick up some of his legal expenses. Not until the town was tipped off and an audit was finished did they find out it was true. Dennis Gaughan was using unauthorised Westlaw Services and allowing the Village of Blasdell to pay for it.

Now this guy wants you to vote for him for Town Supervisor! Ya Right!

Side Note: Anyone notice how much better Buff News Fred Williams is over Bob McCarthy? Just a thought. Maybe the Buffalo News should make the change.

Hamburg Councilman Tom Best resigned his elected position effective today, Sunday 8th of March 2009.

Erie County Independence Party Finally Free!

That’s right folks, Sandra Rosenswie and the newly elected Erie County Independence Party won in court today. The decision handed down was that Orsini’s control has ended with the dismissal of Anthony Mingarelli’s claim that the reorganisation meeting was invalid.
