Mathew Hoak Arrested in Drug Ring!

Hamburg First has learned that a drug ring has been busted up in Hamburg. One of the dealers is Mathew Hoak ,31 years old, charged with Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree (a Class E felony), punishable by up to four years in prison. The defendants are also charged with Criminal Possession and Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (a Class B felony), which is punishable by up to nine years in prison.

New York Democrats Going After Your Guns Again!

The Syracuse Post-Standard is reporting this assault on our Second Amendment that never ends. Once again the Demoncrats are trying to define and eliminate  specific guns that we all own. In the cross-hairs maybe even on single shot 50 calibre muzzle loaders used for hunting, woodchuck ammunition, and any gun that looks intimidating.

Hamburg Republicans Endorse Candidates for Town Council

Last night, amid all the Ice Arena turmoil, the Hamburg Republican Committee met and decided on their candidates running for Hamburg Town Offices this year. Insider information has told me that there is increasing discontent within the Republican Town Committee about how these endorsements have been chosen. Many RP Committee members are still very loyal to former RP Town Chairman Mark Cuda and these people are apparently very upset with the new guy.

Ice Rink Proposal Melts!

Its over folks, unofficial figures obtained by Hamburg First shows a significant deficit in votes for this project. The votes in favor are approximately 861 and those against number about 1243, with about 100 absentee votes to count. These numbers must be verified by the Erie County Board of Elections before they become official, but it’s now safe to say its over for Walker and his lack of information strategy on this proposal.

I think we should name this kind of strategy as the Delano factor.

LOL!! Stachowski is Holding a Fundraiser! LOL!!

I can’t believe the nuts on this guy! He has to have big brass balls! My god, he just voted to raise your taxes, raise your fees on utilities and supports keeping the tolls in Erie County and on the Grand Island Bridge. Now he is asking for your support and some of your cash.

Buffalo News Reports on the Ice Arena Proposal!

Our recreation Advisory Board letter sent to the Buffalo News has finally hit the print. It was short but sweet and said we need more info! I think I have beaten that horse to death. Without specific financial info on this proposal that was requested more than a year ago, I can’t support the project. We asked for three very big things that were never given to us.

Erie County IP Alive and Well

Just some FYI folks. The Erie County Independence Party will be endorsing its own members and cross endorsing members of other political parties throughout Erie County. Regardless of what you read on Illuzzers site it will happen.

Frontier School System Raises Taxes AGAIN!

I’m a bit pissed at myself. I had the opportunity to run a couple people for frontier School Board and decided not to do it. Not because I thought it was a bad idea but because we decided to run them for Hamburg Town Council instead. Never-the-less Frontier once again wants to raise your taxes.

Walters Answers to the Public’s Questions on Ice Rink Proposal!

Supervisor Walters had his Secretary hand out this information about the proposed ice arena at the public meeting last night. In all fairness, I think I should post this link up also. The second link is the polling places for Tuesday’s vote on the matter.

Recreation Advisory Board tells Walters “give us more info”!

I wasn’t going to write anything about all this but I think in all fairness to the Hamburg Public it’s time to speak up. The Hamburg Recreation Advisory Board met last week and decided that the current proposal on the expansion and private lease management of the facility is lacking significant information for the Advisory Board to make an informed decision.
