Union or Anti-Union, That is the Question!

19 05 2009

In today’s day and age many Town and County elections come down to who supports unions and who opposes them. It’s not a big secret that this position can make or break a candidate depending on which town he or she lives in. Unions are the largest political contributors in the nation! Many Demon-cratic candidates count on their money to get elected over and over.

In reality the unions are slowly doing the job against themselves in today’s political arena. I’m thinking how their selfish attitudes caused the pink slips of hundreds of their own members in state government this year. The union had the choice of taking a small decrease in pay or losing a lot of members, they said goodbye to their freinds because of it.

If you need to see just how bad the situation has gotten, then just look back to Operating Engineers Local 17. They used intimidation tactics to try and force building contracts. But we aren’t just talking private unions, lets not forget public unions. Can anyone remember how many times the Teachers Union has walked out, or threatened to walk out, on our kids if they didn’t get what they want?

So for those of you who are union members and bleed the blue blood of a faithful union member, I want you to remember that you are a huge reason why our children are leaving in droves. Your selfish ideals have forced our community into despair and despotism. I say its time to take a stand. I say its time to fight fire with fire. I say its time for our elected leaders to stand together and break public unions all together and bring back private service contracts.

The time for union domination is over and I’m here to see it done!

I guess I went off on a rant today. But really, what I said is all true. I will say this though. I fully support the Teamsters 100%. Why? because during my tenure with them they stood up for both the workers and the company. The teamsters have a policy that few have ever seen.

If a Teamsters Company is in financial trouble and on the verge of closing, the teamsters union will do what ever is necessary to keep them a float. All the company has to do is open the books and show how their money was spent that got them into the trouble. Then the teamsters will help them reorganise to be successful and even make their member take pay and benefit cuts until the company is back on their feet.

Try and get a public union to take a pay cut. Not a chance in hell.

The Democratic primary presents the clearest choice on this issue!

Pro-union Dennis Gaughan vs Anti-Union Patricia (petulant Patty)
Michalek.

Can you confirm if Lynn Dixon is running against Reynolds. If she is running she has my vote. I hear she is an independence party member. You and Maryrose can agree on her I am sure.

Wow! Lynn Dixon is running. Where can I sign up to help?

What has Reynolds done that is so anti-Erie County? He brought NFTA bus runs to the rural parts of the area. He works FULL TIME in his offices. He a grea tcommunicator. Oh Isee because Collins dislikes him, everyone must follow like blind mice. As an IP voter, I will still support Mr. Reynolds. He is the original “Acaliber candidates from the private sector to help reform county government” that Collins stated we need.

How about the fact that he has voted for every tax increase the demon-crats thought up. Not to mention he created and the union apprenticeship program for county contracts that increases costs by 15%. Thank God Collins blocked it in a genius move.

As a Democratic I can’t wait to vote for Lynn Dixon. Reynolds could care less about us Taxpayers. We need to throw him, his buddy Tim Kennedy, Stackowski, etc etc etc and a bunch more out of office, both locally and State wide.

Your tax votes are coming home to Roost

Can you say TEA PARTY…..

It is being reported on SUWNY that you are out as an Executive Board Member of the IP. What’s the scoop?

This GIJoe guy is talking out of his ass. i’m still a member of the Erie County IP Executive Board. All he is trying to do is stir up trouble. To bad i’m banned and can’t defend myself there.

Did she tinker with the Exec Board?

No all are still there. It takes a vote of the full county committee to remove an executive board member. I’m willing to bet this came about because a friend of theirs interviewed for an endorsement and I wasn’t there. Only the specifically assigned members of a canvassing committee were interviewing candidates. Now all members of the Executive Board are doing canvassing.

Update

Democrats had 2 cars in the parade. One of them was wearing a Ronald Reagan mask – Why? The mask looked Stupid. Amy Ziegler was there she made a nice presentation. Whitmeyer briefly said hello. Did not see Bellissimo or Walters. Dennis Gaughan stopped and talked with me. My wife wants him to do our Will. Gorman had the best card. Collins – my wife knows his brother. I live near Dittos’ I liked his disgust his enthusiasm to want to tear it down next week. He calls it ridiculous how long that place has been sitting there rotting along with the Armor Inn.

I was disgusted at how Dennis Gaughan was campaigning during the flag burning ceremony at the Moose Lodge. He was speaking louder than the presenter on the stage. Collins, Gorman, Wittmeyer, Ziegler, and Bellissimo were all there and were much more respectful. Gorman, Ted Casey, and Bellissimo were all handing out cards which I thought was a bit tactless. I spoke to both Collins and Wittmeyer and they said they thought it was disrespectful to openly campaign on a day meant to honor Veterans. As a Vietnam Vet, I can say that they both have my votes. Not sure about the rest of them yet, but Dennis Gaughan will never get a vote from me now.

I was at the Moose Lodge and Dennis Gaughn came through campaigning during the ceremony. They were reading the proclamation from Congress and this guy was going through the crowd introducing himself and not even paying attention to the speakers.

He even told someone they should vote for him because he got them out of a speeding ticket in the town.

Sounds like an A list candidate.

Who are the Republicans most worried about running against?

26 05 2009

The word on the Street is that Lynn Dixon will have the IP, GOP and Conservative Lines. Bob Reynolds has certainly underestimated what Chris Collins has labeled him “Obstructionist to Reform”. And Lynn Dixon will drive that message home to the taxpayers….

Lynn Dixon has yet to ask our local board for an endorsement. Any attempt by the State IP to endorse local candidates will be met with a lawsuit. Don’t count on Lynn getting the IP line unless she runs unopposed as an IP member. The state IP can’t help her.

Lynn is a registered IP, why wouldn’t she get it?

Dennis is a longtime member of my Hamburg Moose Club. Who has helped many our members on a free basis. I don’t know of any politician there that day except Dennis who has ever done anything for our club. I would urge them to join.

I am a decorated Viet Nam vet and was neither offended nor
put off by candidates showing their support on Memorial day.

Where was Steve Walters? Where was Patricia m\Michalek?

Instead of tsk tsking, smoke ‘em if ya got em and start asking
the right question:

Why weren’t Walters and Michalek there?

Dennis Gaughan was there showing his support for the ceremony.

Get a hold of it fellas before it gets a hold of you!

What do the official party rules say over who has the final authority to endorse candidates?

These so called rules are currently in dispute in court. As i said before, McKay and his people can declare and say whatever they want but it doesn’t make it so.

Mike C- Walters was at the Lakeview Parade all morning and then the flag burning ceremony at the Moose Lodge. I dont have a problem with candidates being at any events, I have a problem with Dennis walking from person to person and loudly introducing himself as a candidate for Hamburg Supervisor while a decorated veteran has to talk loudly because the microphone doesnt work and Dennis is blabbing.

28 05 2009

You probably are not aware that Dennis is the _____only decorated_____
veteran running for Supervisor.

If one were looking for a reason to pssha.. psssha then a candidate
working a crowd is a great opportunity to potshot.

I know Dennis Gaughan, I respect Dennis Gaughan, I support
Dennis Gaughan and I’ll defend Dennis Gaughan.

As a 23 year veteran of the Air Force, I can tell you that I have
served under many great leaders and commanders. In my view
Mr. Gaughan stands shoulder to shoulder with the best.

To put it simply……. Dennis Gaughan….NONE BETTER!!!!!!!!
