Hamburg Conservative Party makes Town Election Endorsements!

29 05 2009

Last night, Thursday May 28th, the Conservative Party in Hamburg met and decided who they will allow to run on their line this year.

Endorsed for Town Supervisor was Steven Walters. This is no surprise since that deal was worked out months ago with the Republican support to send Tom Best to the Highway Department as its Superintendent.

What really did come as a surprise to the Republicans was that the Conservative Party then endorsed the entire Demon-cratic slate for Town Council.  Vinny Gugliuzza and Joe Collins were endorsed for the four year seats and John Gorman was endorsed for the two year seat.

I am absolutely sure that politics overrode any sense of party platform in these endorsements. I honestly believe this move was aimed squarely at Republican Chairman Chuck Morlock as a warning to resign. Chuck has pissed off a lot of people over the last 10 months and everyone I know wants Mark Cuda back in the Chairman’s seat.

Calls are coming in to me, from Republicans, wanting the IP line to try and save themselves. My answer is simply this, the IP in Hamburg is planning to run three of our own members in the Council race. I expect Supervisor Walters to get the IP endorsement. He deserves another four years. He earned it. However, I want Chuck Morlock to resign as well. It seems the best way to accomplish that is to take control of the Town Council with a deciding seat or take enough votes away from the Republicans so the Demon-crats get control back for two years.

MESSAGE TO THE RP IN HAMBURG! Time is short, but if you want a deal then I suggest you start by ousting Chuck Morlock today and put Cuda back in his seat. Perhaps then the IP will consider a cross endorsement. Short of that, the IP will be running three conservative minded candidates to draw Republican votes away from Morlocks slate!

See you at the Polls!

Len Kowalski did not get endorsed.

I heard that Vinny G got the top spot and Kowalski did not get an endorsement.

Good post. Too bad you got the information wrong. Kowalski did not get the endorsement, Vinny Gugliuzza did. I guess your credibility for the rest of the post is gone too.

You’re absolutely right! I was told that Gugliuzza got it but was half asleep when the call came in. Sorry, I corrected it on the site. Thank You.

Why all the resentment toward Chuck Morlock?

Just do some research here and you will answer that question yourself.

Steve Walters is on his way to victory.

I just do not understand how Jewett did not get an endorsement. There is not a politician that worked with Walters more than Ernie did. I also heard that he did very well in his interview. I realize Ernie is a dema rat but he still had a very good working relationship with Walters. Why would they endorse Walters and then give him no help? To me it just makes no sense.

Why? Two words…. Chuck Morlock!

Ford, are you really saying that the reason neither the Democrats nor the Conservatives did not endorse Ernie Jewitt was because of Chuck Morlock?

Dixon, Walters, Collins, Bellissimo, and Gorman

Beck my good man, why all this animosity toward Chuckie? Don’t you think the real culprit in this Republican self destruction is Highway Superintendant Tom Best who made a deal to take care of himself and Walters, and screwed the rest of the GOP? And what happen to “the deal”? Did Bestie promise one Conservative endorsement to the RP which he couldn’t deliver, or did he knowingly turn his back on the party that brought him to power? Any way you slice it, he has now put the RP in jeopardy of losing all 3 council seats and control of the board.

You should read some of my past posts. In my opinion Tom Best has no loyalty towards Morlack. I believe his loyalty , like mine, was to the coalition built by Mark Cuda and torn down by Chuck Morlock.

So do you think Best sold out the 3 RP council candidates to spite Morlack?

By the way, Chuck Morlock if you are reading my site. I TOLD YOU SO, YOU DUMB ASS!!!

Bellissimo and Gorman cant both win Prediction…..they are both running for the two year seats.

Dixon, Gaughan, Collins, Belissimo, Gorman

again, Belissimo and Gorman both can’t win. This is the travesty of the Best/Morlack debacle. Morlack doesn’t recognize that Bellissimo is his best hope to preserve the majority. Bellissimo almost pulled out the Conservative endorsement over Gorman. Wittmeyer and Zeigler had no support in the Conservative camp. Had Morlack ran Bellissimo for a 4 yr seat, Bellissimo takes the endorsement and wins easily in November. Instead Morlack offers Bellissimo up as the sacrificial lamb against Gorman, and the RP comes away with no minor party support.

What if Collins, Bellissimo & Gorman get the independence line. Amy was low vote in the Republican committee. Either Amy or Whtiemeyer would then be against Gorman because Bellissimo would be shoved out to second in the 2 year term; instead, the RP can place Bellissimo against Kowalski or Gugluzzi. With Walters and Smardz and Bellissimo the RP has a pure majority.

30 05 2009
john

Mr. Prediction, that would be a wise move for the RP, but I don’t think you’ll see that happen.

30 05 2009
laughing

Smardz got more votes on the Taxpayers First line than Vinnie got anyways. The conservative endorsement doesn’t mean much and the independence one means even less. The conservative choices were made before the candidates even arrived and the fact that Bellissimo won the first vote against Gorman is even more reason to keep him on the 2 year. Prediction:Dixon, Walters, Bellissimo, Collins, Wittmeyer. Caseys primary against Gorman and Ernie and Vinnys primaries against the Dems and Vinnie on the C-line ballot only help Bellissimo and Wittmeyer. Ziegler and Kowalski dont stand a chance

If Collins is pushing Amy so hard as to call the Conservatives on her behalf. Maybe push Amy over to run against Kozub. With Chris’ backing this might be an interesting race.

Amy would then help Walters draw out the Republican vote. The Republicans would then owe her and when the Republicans recapture the Govenor or State Senate she can be appointed Judge.

I wonder what these conservatives believe in since they endorsed three liberals.

AP, now you are thinking! i was wondering when people would start considering the politics around all this. The fact is that the CP town endorsement means squat if the County CP wants to change it. Word is that the County RP is pushing hard to have Delmont and Lorigo give Amy Ziegler the endorsement and screw the Hamburg CP again. I am also told Judge Marshall is having a shit fit that Amy was humiliated by the Hamburg CP not endorsing her.

I have been asked to not divulge the Hamburg IP endorsements just yet. I will say that Walters should get the Supervisors endorsement in a land slide. The Council endorsements are going to be a big surprise and I think its all a block buster that ABSOLUTELY WILL sway this election.

I also believe we have a very good shot at at least one seat on that town council.

STAY TUNED!

You guys couldn’t sway if you got caught in a hurricane!

Your candid admission of your skullduggery with Cuda

Spoken like a true Demon-crat trying desperately to believe that your political agenda is what our community wants. Mike, get it through your head that the people are tired of big government and high taxes needed to pay for it.

The IP will make or break this election for specific candidates. Others are already also-rans. Vinnny G. is going to make a mockery out of Sorrentino’s endorsed candidates. Gaughan will win the Supervisors primary with ease.

When I tell all about who we are running you will shit at just how much support we will have.

SPEAKING OF BIG GOVERNMENT DID YOU SEE THE LIST OF THE
27000+ RETIREES ON THE PUBLIC TEATS ?

It was published in Buffalo News on Sunday May 31, 2009.

Joe Coggins is retired at more than Tony Masiello,
Dennis Gorski and Richard Boehm!

This list doesn’t include Teachers and Administrators.

That means that 1 out of 50 people in this county
are on the dole.

Was that really Pat Hoak in the Obama Mask in Michalek’s Jeep. That guy has a mask fetish. Is he in charge of Michalek’s campaign?

How much $ wise is Joe Coggins making in retirement. I heard Gaughan wants to reshuffle the Police Dept filling detective slots and putting more patrolmen out on the street. Maybe it’s time!

31 05 2009
Mike C

Joe Coggins is retired at ONE HUNDRED and FOUR THOUSAND
FIVE HUNDRED TWELVE DOLLARS ($104,512) per year.

Are you kidding me? Wait till Kesner retires.

Only Gaughan has a plan to streamline the PD.

31 05 2009
Alfred Henry

How about Tom Best at $79,461 and Matt Czerwiec at $69,717 ?

When Kesner retires the tab for just these four will approach
$ 500,000 per year.

How many homes are there in town of Hamburg. Can we figure how much each householder taxpayer contributes to these 4 pensions. I’m starting to get mad enough to call Kevin Gaughan.

2 06 2009

There are @ 22000 (21999) homes in Hamburg, according to the most recent Census statistics.
Do the math!

If this trend continues Municipal Bankruptcy is a real possibility.

I thought that Walters already reorganized the police department. The chiefs are not able to suck up every ounce OT to pad their pensions? This was one thing that he promised to stop and I thought it was already done. Do you know anything on this?

3 06 2009
My Two Cents

It’s time to get rid of the village police. They are as worthless as tits on a boar hog. They don’t do anything except give tickets. Especially that little munchkin who was fired. It’s been four years and Steve Walters has nothing to show with respect to police department reforms. Steve Walters hasn’t taken the first step to reforming the police department and advocated to eliminate the village police departments. Further proof Steve Walters is an empty suit filled with hot air.

The Chief of Police and Assistant CoP are under a confidential management contracts now. In the past he was Union but that ended after i went public with the contract and the salary figures. I’m not sure if the Captains are under the confidential management contracts or are still union.

The whole mess is a continuing travesty. What possible basis

Since when were Supervisors ever in a Taylor Law union?
