Well its been seven years since I had gotten my drivers license and its time to renew. Since I have a commercial drivers license with all the big endorsements I figured it would be pretty expensive and I was right.But that wasn’t the worst of it. After going over to the ECC South DMV Office, I was surprised to find the place absolutely packed with lines out to the doors. After getting my number and finally getting a seat I waited patiently. Fifteen minutes, thirty, an hour then finally an hour and 12 minutes later I get called up to the window.
“AHH, do you have any proof of your address with you”? She asked? “Yea the damn drivers license I just gave you!” Was my reply. ( thinking you dumbass) “Sorry, we need two forms of proof where you live now!” “ Bring in some of your bills with your address on them”, I’m told.
You would think the first girl who gave me my damn number would have asked what I brought with me instead of letting me sit for more than an hour! Worse yet, I’m sitting there with Orchard Park Supervisor Candidate Patrick Keem and we are watching five of seven workers stand around and talk for 45 minutes while just two are actually at their windows working! A quick call to our illustrious County Clerk Kathy Hochul was in order! LOL!!!
Next the girl asks if I have a DOT Physical form. “Sure” and I give it to her. “AHH, sorry this is one year to old honey”. She tells me. What the hell? I’m then told NYS changed the rules and every two years we now have to get a physical to keep our CDL. What a crock of shit!
But here is the double standard. IF YOU WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT OR SCHOOL SYSTEM, YOU DON’T NEED AN UPDATED PHYSICAL EXAM!!!!!!
Yea that’s right, god forbid we hold government workers to the same physical standards as private workers! Fact is, the government just doesn’t want to make their damn employees pay for a physical exam like we have to!
Every time I need to do something with this fucking county, or state, the shit just keeps getting deeper. Isn’t it time to elect people who have a fucking clue about how miserable all this red tape is? Think about that when you go to the polls and want to vote for a damn demon-crat who put all these restrictions on you and will not stop until they have sucked every last buck out of your pocket!
If it makes you feel any better, gov’t employees who use a CDL for their job can’t use their license for any side jobs UNLESS they pay for their own physical. For example, a guy who drives a snowplow for a municipality can’t moonlight as an over-the-road truck driver on the weekends unless he gets the DOT physical card.
What is going on with the demoncrats. The only candidate I see or hear about is Dennis Gaughan. No Gugliuzza, No Jewett, No Michalek, and No Gorman.
I may be wrong, but I believe Dennis is the real candidate and Michalek is a rouse for Walters to focus on. From what I’m hearing Dennis is really set to take on Walters. I’m hearing from both the Dems and GOP insiders that getting on board with Dennis is a smart move.

Brian Whittmeyer came to my door last night introducing himself and collecting Taxpayer First signatures. I couldnt sign because I already signed a petition for Ted Casey. He was very nice and very informative, seemed down to Earth. Im voting for him because I believe in change and all these other candidates have either run before or have family members in office. Im voting for Casey and Whittmeyer. Time for some new blood!
Did Patty Michalek make a fool out of herself at last night’s Town Board Meeting or what?
The Italian cookies and New England claim chowder were the best. The jokes that were told were also excellent. I’m trying to learn the one about the State Trooper, the man and his wife. The way he told the joke still has me chuckling.
