Here We Go Again!

22 03 2008

I have to laugh at all the BS that is continuously spewed by the Frontier School Board and their representatives. If I didn’t laugh at it, I would absolutely go nuts with anger. It is so wrong that these people leave out information that could cause residents to vote down a proposed agenda or tax increase. If you read recent stories in the Hamburg Sun News or the Buffalo News you think that this School Board is actually trying to cut costs and keep tax increases to a minimum, but what is actually happening is completely the opposite. IP members ready to challenge for spots on Frontier School Board!

15 03 2008

I picked up petition packets for 2 candidates who will be challenging for 2 spots on the Frontier School Board this year. Although I will not name these candidates just yet, I am very confident in their ability to lead and both are sick of tax increases and capital improvement projects that suck the life out of our residents. Frontier School Board and administrators caught stealing from tax payers!

11 01 2008

The Frontier School Board has been hammered in a NYS audit of its funds. It has now come to the attention of State Auditors that several top administrators of the Frontier School District were given significant payouts without public disclosure. These payouts occurred during closed door sessions of the Frontier School Board. Read the rest of this entry »

Frontier School District makes pact with communism

21 10 2007

I’ve said it before, Frontier School District acts like a communist government when disciplining the kids, now they are actually making pacts with communist schools. I guess they need to learn more about taking away rights of kids. Is the Chinese Delegation indicative of their government putting down ideas of Democracy? Remember Tiananmen Square? Wasn’t it students that were assassinated and murdered for demanding a democracy?

It would have been better if the Frontier School Board told the Chinese to facilitate Democracy before we subject American students to the principals of socialism. Read the rest of this entry »

How far is to far?

7 10 2007

We have all read about it, watched it on the evening news and listened to hours and hours of it on am radio talk stations. What am I referring to? Underage drinking and school districts suspending the students even though it has nothing to do with the district.

When I was a teenager we had some kind of party almost every weekend. It could range from 5-10 friends on one weekend up to more than a hundred of us on another. Alcohol was everywhere and it wasn’t hard to buy back it then. I’m not saying what we did was right but I am saying what we did was not the business of the local school district. Frontier School District addresses issues

8 08 2007

How many of you remember Adam Schreckengost and his platform for running for the Frontier School Board? If you don’t remember, he had several great ideas for the school system including increased background and psychological testing for new hires, a better Technology Department so teachers and staff can update homework assignments online for parents oversite, a better score from the district in terms of school placement on the Business First Magazine rankings and an open budget process on the school districts budget so residents can have input on their taxes vs school goals. Now look at the new initiatives announced by the district. Does any of this sound familiar?

Just because Adam lost the race doesn’t mean he didn’t have a profound impact on our school district. Great job Adam!!! Read the rest of this entry »

Frontier School District takes a nose dive in Math Scores!

14 06 2007

The buffalo news reported yesterday that the Fontier School District has a large decline in math scores over the last 3 years. It is being reported that the average student math score between the 4th graders and 8th graders is at the 82 percentile. It has gone down from 88 percentile over the last 3 years.

This is directly in line with what I have been saying about Frontier School System. We are at a 10 year low in student enrollment and our school taxes are up 60 % in the same time span. We are paying $4,000 more per student then the tuition for the #1 private school in WNY ( Nardin Academy) and our over all school ranking isn’t in the top ten any longer.

Our school district is ranked #14 out of public schools in WNY and our high school isn’t even close to the top 25.

So what are we going to do about it? Think long and hard people, the only way out of this mess is to elect new board members each year. I hate to say it but “I TOLD YOU SO!”

Crossroads Wednesday June 6th

5 06 2007

It is confirmed that I will be the guest speaker on Crossroads, Time Warner Channel 13, with Pete Anderson tomorrow at 3:30pm. The topics of discussion will be the Hamburg Town Board race, Orsini and his fake Chairmanship, the Frontier School District and the various problems within, and finally censorship in WNY.

This should be a great show with all the political dirt coming out into the open. I will hold nothing back and the truth will be revealed. Stay tuned and call in for your view on the topics. Hope to hear from you and if you have an issue you would like me to get out there then leave a comment and I’ll review it tonight.

Frontier High School Ranked poorly in WNY

30 05 2007

Yesterday Western New York’s Business First Magazine ranked the top 25 High Schools in Western New York. Frontier High School and Hamburg High School were no where to be found. I really can’t comment on Hamburg High School since I know very little about that district. However the Frontier High School has been rated poorly for some years now.

Frontier School District has a lot of problems recently with poor school rankings, drugs in school, and unruly students that give the school district problems. Frontier High School is famously known throughout WNY as “Heroin High”, meaning how easy it has been to purchase heroin on school grounds. This very issue prompted the district and the Town of Hamburg to hire a full time police resource officer to stem the sale of drugs in the high school. Read the rest of this entry »

Frontier School District takes a nose dive in school rankings!

29 05 2007

Frontier School District took a nose dive in this years school rankings as reported by Business First Magazine. I feel vindicated after the comments I made were rebuffed by Mr. Commerford and Mr. Figiel of the school board who toted how great a job they have done over the last few years.

Frontier was ranked 10th overall last year and I have said publicly that the District was over rated by Business First. This year the District was ranked at 14th. Never mind that we pay enough money per child to send every student in the district to the number 1 private school in WNY. Never mind that the District has raised your taxes more than 60% over the last 10 years and never mind that the student enrollment is at a 10 year low. Read the rest of this entry »
