Best and Smardz claim VICTORY!!

7 11 2007

Tom Best and Kevin Smardz claimed victory tonight. They claim that even though 6 districts are still not reported, and that only one district is expected to fall to the Democrats, they know the results of at least three of the other five districts. In total Tom Best has swept the town for his expected victory onto the Town Council and Kevin Smardz now has a known 350+ vote lead. Both Smardz and Best feel that lead is insurmountable by Dick Smith even though 400+ absentee/affidavit ballots remain to be counted. Read the rest of this entry »

Letter to the 12th Legislative District Independence Party Members

4 11 2007

I sent out this letter to all the IP prime voters in the 12th Legislative District.  What are your thoughts? I believe the members of our party will respond with 80% of the vote favoring the Republicans in the District.

Orsini revisited

14 10 2007

Anyone who has paid any attention to any of the corrupt dealings within the leadership of the Erie County Independence Party may remember these stories reported by the Buffalo News. Year after year the Buffalo News, Channel 2, 4 and 7 and all the radio talk shows come out with more abuses of our self proclaimed chairmen.

Considering the well written stories by Glenn Gramigna about the on going battle between Orsini/Koziol and the reform minded members, including myself, I thought you may enjoy reading these articles again to remind you of just how bad things are in county politics. Read the rest of this entry »

How far is to far?

7 10 2007

We have all read about it, watched it on the evening news and listened to hours and hours of it on am radio talk stations. What am I referring to? Underage drinking and school districts suspending the students even though it has nothing to do with the district.

When I was a teenager we had some kind of party almost every weekend. It could range from 5-10 friends on one weekend up to more than a hundred of us on another. Alcohol was everywhere and it wasn’t hard to buy back it then. I’m not saying what we did was right but I am saying what we did was not the business of the local school district. Fake IP Chairman, Anthony Orsini, wastes IP County Executive Endorsement!

3 10 2007

Well it appears it will be official tomorrow. Paul Clark will withdraw from the County Executive race. All this after tons of money spent on lawsuits and political infighting that was created by Anthony Orsini declaring himself IP Chairman illegally. I have written a lot about the whole debacle over the last year but this just takes the cake. Read the rest of this entry »

Congratulations to Dick Smith and Vinny Gugliuzza

29 09 2007

Yesterday was the official canvass for the IP Hamburg Town Council race and I suffered through it with a lot of back pain. In the end the numbers were pretty consistent with the outcome specified by the BOE on Primary night. Although a dozen or two absentee ballots and affidavit ballots were sent out to residents who requested them only 2 were sent back in. Read the rest of this entry »

IP Town Council race update

19 09 2007

I went down to the BOE this morning to find out about the 2 districts that didn’t get reported last night. What I found out was that the Districts at Grace Lutheran Church (Districts 32 & 33) didn’t report and the Hamburg Village Hall (Districts Districts 47 & 54) didn’t report. I have no idea why the computer says only two districts not reporting. My guess is that they meant two polling places. Each district only had 1 voting machine so these districts are still up for grabs. Read the rest of this entry »

Hamburg IP Council race goes into overtime!

19 09 2007

Here it is folks. There are two districts yet to be reported. The BOE quits counting the returns at 10 pm and so we wait until tomorrow. I am down about 15 votes right now. I’m also told those two districts have more than 25 votes combined. There are also 15 or so absentee ballots to be counted and 2 affidavit ballots. I know I won the affidavit ballots because it was my friends who called and told me that the people at the polls wouldn’t let them vote on the machines. Read the rest of this entry »

Jim Ostrowski and friends endorse Ford Beckwith and Lysle Obad!

17 09 2007

http://blog.jimostrowski.com/?p=807

Doing the same stupid thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Every year, twice a year, the people of Erie County go to the polls to re-elect the personalities and policies that have brought us 47 straight years of decline.

Will sanity finally prevail this year?

If you want change, vote for these folks tomorrow: Read the rest of this entry »

Despotism and Democracy

17 09 2007

Have the Hamburg Democrats created a town full of Democracy or Despotism? You decide for yourself. My vote is that the Democrats have created an environment of extreme Despotism in Hamburg. Please watch the video and I think you see what I mean.
